The Town of Hempstead Housing Authority is currently not accepting applications.

Applications for the Golden Age Coop housing program will still be accepted. 

There will be a public hearing on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Building at Meadowbrook Gardens, 750 Jerusalem Avenue, Uniondale, New York.

About

Created to fulfill housing needs for qualified individuals and families on limited incomes, the Housing Authority is the largest such agency in Nassau and Suffolk counties, and one of the largest in New York State. The Authority operates under the auspices of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, which provides construction funds for local housing at no cost to the town.
